Texas Turkey
Hunting
We offer several different spring turkey hunting packages.
The
majority
of our turkey hunts
include 3 nights, food, lodging, guides and 2 1/2 days of hunting for
2 Rio Grande gobblers.
Semi-guided hunts
include a guide to transport hunters into the field and place them in areas
where gobblers frequent and / or roost. Guides take the hunters into the field
after breakfast and well before daylight. Turkeys will be located the evening
before, and the hunters are dropped off in proximity to roost areas. We hunt for
approximately 4 - 5 hours then everyone is picked up and taken back for lunch.
After lunch we'll hunt 4 - 5 hours in the afternoon then take in a good dinner.
Length of time in the field is the hunter's preference. Most hunts consist of a
fair amount of walking and calling. We've have had some large turkeys killed
5-10 minutes after the first call. Our turkeys travel between roosts and feeding
areas where the hens are located. Late morning and early afternoons we're
hunting near a water hole and wooded thickets where the birds can escape the
heat.
Please note that there are no hidden costs, nor do we have any tacked on trophy
fees. The prices we quote are the prices you pay.
